Our Mission
The primary mission of Gaber Support Group in North America Inc. (GSG-NA) is to support and promote the vision and mission of Gaber Yebego Adragot Dirigit , a nonprofit organization established in Ethiopia to alleviate various deep-rooted problems in Ezha District, Gurage Zone, Ethiopia.
Gaber’s mission is to address the multifaceted socio-economic problems prevailing in Ezha District of Gurage Zone. These include high unemployment, extensive youth migration, food insecurity, lack of access to clean water and energy, poor quality of education, youth substance abuse, inadequate health care, gender inequality, environmental degradation, and others.
Our Vision
Gaber’s vision is to foster the socio-economic sustainability of the region by nurturing pertinent knowledge and skills development and by promoting responsible behavior in society, particularly among the youth.
Through thoughtful planning and implementation of appropriate development-oriented interventions, Gaber envisions driving positive change that can boost the productive capacity of the people and contribute to improved quality of life for citizens in the region and beyond.
